How It Works
So how does AMG Alerts work? Simply! It’s easy to set up and easy to use. There is a quarterly or annual maintenance fee, and an Alerts Fee depending on your use of the system. If you don’t use it at all, there is no Alerts Fee. This fee is charged after an alert, depending on the modes used and the volume.
Step One – Sign Up
Sign up. This process involves putting in your own information, as well as the access credentials you’d like to use. Then there is a billing section to input that information and select your billing frequency. There is a discount for an annual frequency. Lastly, in Step One, you will be asked to define your categories – how or if you’d like to section off your user base for more selective alerts. There are up to four categories available.
Then you’re done! You’ll be directed to a Control Panel page where you can start administering your Subscribers (users). You will also receive an e-mail reviewing your login credentials and account information.
Step Two – Add Subscribers
Upon login, you will have a Control Panel where you can modify your account information, administer subscribers, or send alerts.
Subscribers may be added one at a time, or a list of subscribers (typically in Excel format) can be uploaded to the system. This list may contain all the attributes of a Subscriber – first and last name, text and voice phone numbers, preferred alert method, email address, and category, or it can contain only the e-mail address. If it contains only e-mails, the administrator can do a broadcast to the subscribers in order that they may update the rest of their information.
Each user has a distinct key, and they can use it any time to keep their information up-to-date. If a user forgets or loses a key, the administrator can visit the control panel anytime to re-send it on an individual basis.
That’s it! You are now ready to broadcast if it is necessary.
Broadcasting Alerts
Just click from the Control Panel, and you will be taken to a tool for this. Just select the modes: “All”, “Subscriber Preferred”, or any combination of Text, E-mail, or Voice. Graphical information is displayed to assist you in making the best choices. You will select a launch mode for each category of subscriber (including "None"). You will then be taken to an entry screen that is custom-configured based on your choices. Type in your alert and press "Launch". All of your alerts will be sent, E-mails to the appropriate addresses, text messages to appropriate text numbers, and voice messages to the appropriate mobile or land line phones, using our text-to-speech conversion process.
The entire launch process takes less than five minutes! |
